These Type A Hickey Bars are tried and tested in the field here in Houston. They are normally used in pairs to bend custom fitted rebar by hand. They are 24" long which enables you to get into restricted areas. I paint the heads to reduce corrosion and to make them easier to find in dirt environments. The head is made of 3/8" plate with hardened threaded studs press fitted and welded solid. Custom concrete workers and swimming pool installers depend on these tools everyday. You can bend up to 5/8" rebar. We also have 30" long handles on request where space is no problem. Just add $4.00 per hickey. These tools can also be repaired in the field if you have a torch and grinder. No other hickey is field repairable as far as we know. Additional studs can be purchased separately.

We are also building Type B Hickies now. They are designed for heavy duty use with a 40" handle for serious leverage. I make two sizes. B5 and B6. One bends 5/8" and the other will bend 3/4" rebar. See photo. Great for highway and general construction crews.
