Shipping has forced us to make some changes to size of fish.
I recommend 40" and shorter due to cost of shipping.
Wrought Iron type of fish construction entails bending
iron rod or flat bar into the many shapes I show below. I
roll, heat, beat, bend, hammer, and weld these forms to produce this
primitive and graceful look. They generally consist of
3/8", 1/4", or 1/8" solid rod. Please click on photos for larger views.
This WROUGHT DORADO about 44" x 18". Sometimes called Mahi Mahi.
It weighs about 6 lbs and costs $69.99. It is built of 3/8" and 1/4" solid
rod with a steel washer thrown in for the eye.
JUMPING BROWN TROUT measures about 23" x 18". It projects 4 to 5" from the
wall. Looks really good with a small dragonfly accessory. $69.99
JUMPING BASS LARGE measures about 28" x 30" and is 3 dimensional. The fins,
tail, and lateral line stick out from the wall about 5". It casts
wonderful shadows. It weighs about 6 lbs. and can be purchased for $89.99
MESS O FISH hangs from an old style stringer and is pretty much infinitely
variable. I have this one pictures with 6 fishes but you can have as many
or as few as you want. I paint them in island colors or leave them in
rusty condition. They normally measure about 12" long. I have made a
custom set 24" long and it included 8 fish. The small fish cost about $6.50
each. Just tell me how many you want. They can weigh about 10 lbs
sometimes.
MOTHER DAUGHTER PORPOISE. This sculpture was a past commission that
weighed about 15 lbs and measures 5 to 6 feet wide. It is 3D as the
baby jumps over the mother in delight. This piece protrudes from the
wall about 6". I sell these for $240.00
SOCKEYE SALMON. About 44" long and weighing 8 lbs. Striking and primitive
$89.99
Wrought SPECKLED SEA TROUT. Also known as Weakfish in the Gulf Coast area.
It measures about 20" x 25" and sticks out from the wall about 5". Great
detail. $79.99
WROUGHT SAILFISH. 44" long and costs about $79.99.
Size is adjustable by order. I would not recommend being larger than
about 40" unless I make it in two pieces. Heavily detailed versions of
this run $180.00
WROUGHT GAFFTOP. This beautiful fish is as slimey as any fish you are liable
to catch. Quite graceful on the wall but nasty in the bottom of your
boat! $79.99
WROUGHT TUNA. Built to originally hang from a sign post of a
restaurant. It works well since you can see right through it.
This one was 6 feet long and the shipping charges were very high.
Under 48" is best and runs $79.99.
